The Pulpit

Victorian Wedding

We wonder how many weddings like this were conducted by the Revds Edward Allen & William Allen [father & son], who were the only rectors here during Queen Victoria’s long reign.

Arranged by Marjorie Smith Sponsors:
Sheila & Ernie Smeaton

Club members are especially grateful to their President, Barbara Russell, for the immense amount of time and effort she has contributed to their activities despite sad domestic circumstances.

Over the centuries All Saints Church has been lovingly cared for and sometimes modified and refurbished. Approval has now been given to plans to extend the nave to provide some much-needed modern amenities, more interior space and level access from the road. Funds raised by this festival will bring nearer the time when building work can be started.
